ADVENT
SERVICE – 30 NOVEMBER 2008

On 30 November the Abbey congregation will be
celebrating the beginning of Advent with a candlelit service which starts at
6.30 pm. This service takes the congregation from darkness into light with
a mixture of readings and music supported by all the Abbey’s choirs.
To avoid long queues and
possible disappointment on the evening, admission to this service is also by
ticket (free) only. All tickets have now been allocated for this service,
however, a limited number of tickets may be available on the evening.
The Abbey will be
open for the service from 5.45 pm and ticket holders will need to be seated by 6.10
pm. At 6.15 pm any seats not taken will be made available to those queuing
at the Great West Doors.
NINE LESSONS AND
CAROLS - Christmas Eve at 7pm.
Admission to this
service is also by ticket only with arrangements for seating very similar to
those for the Advent
service. The Abbey congregation have preferential
access to tickets,
however, any unallocated free tickets will be available from the Abbey Shop
from 10.00 am on the 1st December.
